Back of Nanna Whan’s picture is clear that it was sent to Milton & June at Christmas and says “Much love and best wishes for a very Happy Xmas. Don’t believe this photo – I’m not so old looking looking really. Feel A1 again. – Your loving Mum”

The back of this photo says “Helping flood victims” – neither June or Milton mentioned a flood in their stories but there was a rather heavy flooding situation in Kyushu in 1953 from what I found in researching it.
